When to use Director Mode
Use Director Mode when you want to:- Apply only specific AI tools (e.g., captions but not filler removal)
- Fine-tune how each tool behaves
- Edit longer recordings where you need precise control
- Create multiple clips from a single recording
How to use Director Mode
Open Director Mode
Instead of clicking Clippo Magic, click the Director Mode button in the toolbar. This opens the Director panel on the right side of the editor.[SCREENSHOT COMING SOON]
Choose your tools
In the Director panel, you’ll see toggles for each AI tool:
- Filler Removal — remove “um,” “uh,” and pauses
- Sparkle Audio — enhance audio quality
- Captions — generate and style captions
- Auto-Frame — reframe for different aspect ratios
- Auto-Color — adjust color grading
Configure each tool
Click the gear icon next to any enabled tool to adjust its settings. For example:
- Filler Removal: Set sensitivity (low, medium, high) and choose whether to remove silences
- Captions: Choose font, size, color, position, and animation style
- Auto-Frame: Select target aspect ratio and framing priority (face, center, or custom)
Process your video
Click Apply to run your selected tools. Processing time depends on which tools you’ve enabled and your video length.[SCREENSHOT COMING SOON]
Director Mode credit costs
Each tool costs credits independently when used in Director Mode:| Tool | Cost |
|---|---|
| Filler Removal | 1 credit/min |
| Sparkle Audio | 1 credit/min |
| Captions | 1 credit/min |
| Auto-Frame | Included free |
| Auto-Color | Included free |
Running all tools separately in Director Mode costs the same as Clippo Magic (2 credits/min). Use Director Mode when you want control, not to save credits.
Tips
- Start with Clippo Magic, then switch. You can run Magic first, then enter Director Mode to fine-tune specific parts.
- Use the timeline to apply different settings to different segments of your video.
- Save your tool presets — if you find settings you like, save them as a preset for future projects.
