How to add captions
Using Clippo Magic (easiest)
Captions are generated automatically when you use Clippo Magic. No extra steps required.Using Director Mode
Choose a caption style
Click the gear icon next to Captions. You’ll see style presets:
- Classic — white text, black outline
- Bold — large, centered, animated word-by-word
- Minimal — small, bottom-left, no animation
- Brand — uses your Brand Kit colors and fonts (if set up)
- Custom — full control over every setting
How to edit captions
Open the caption editor
After captions are generated, click the Captions tab in the editor panel. You’ll see the full transcript with timestamps.[SCREENSHOT COMING SOON]
Edit text
Click on any caption line to edit the text. Fix typos, adjust wording, or correct any words the AI got wrong.[SCREENSHOT COMING SOON]
Adjust timing
Drag the start or end handles of a caption block on the timeline to adjust when it appears and disappears.[SCREENSHOT COMING SOON]
How to style captions
Open caption style settings
Click the Style button at the top of the Captions panel.[SCREENSHOT COMING SOON]
Customize the look
Adjust these settings:

| Position | Top, center, or bottom of the video |

| Outline | None, thin, medium, thick |
| Background | None, solid box, rounded pill |
Download captions as SRT
If you need a separate caption file (for YouTube, social platforms, or accessibility):- Open the Captions panel
- Click the Download SRT button
- Save the
.srtfile to your computer
Tips
- Captions cost 1 credit per minute of original video length. Included free when using Clippo Magic.
- Caption accuracy is typically 95%+ — but always review and fix any errors before exporting.
- Captions are burned into the video on export. If you want captions as a separate file, download the SRT before exporting.
- Use the Bold style for short-form content (TikTok, Reels) — it’s designed for small screens and fast scrolling.
