# How to Make Your First Export

> Upload a recording, let Clippo process it, and export a finished clip — step by step.

This guide walks you through the full process of turning a raw recording into a polished, share-ready clip. No editing experience required.

## Before you start

You'll need:

* A Clippo account ([sign up here](https://app.clippo.com/sign-up) if you don't have one)
* A video file to upload (MP4, MOV, or WebM — up to 2 GB)

## Steps

    Go to [app.clippo.com/dashboard](https://app.clippo.com/dashboard) and sign in.

  <Step title="Create a new project">
    Click the **New Project** button in the top-right corner of your dashboard.

  <Step title="Upload your recording">
    Drag and drop your video file into the upload area, or click **Browse** to select a file from your computer.

    Wait for the upload to finish. You'll see a progress bar — this usually takes under a minute for most files.

  <Step title="Apply Clippo Magic">
    Once the upload completes, click the **Clippo Magic** button. This runs all of Clippo's AI tools at once:

    * Removes filler words ("um," "uh," pauses)
    * Enhances your audio
    * Adds captions
    * Reframes your video for the aspect ratio you choose

    Wait for processing to finish. This typically takes 1–3 minutes depending on your video length.

  <Step title="Preview your result">
    Click **Play** to watch your processed clip. Check that:

    * The captions look correct
    * The framing looks good
    * No important sections were cut

    You can make manual adjustments before exporting if needed.

  <Step title="Choose your export settings">
    Click the green **Export** button. You'll see options for:

    * **Format** — MP4 (recommended for most uses)
    * **Aspect ratio** — 9:16 (vertical/Reels/TikTok), 1:1 (square/Instagram), or 16:9 (landscape/YouTube)
    * **Resolution** — up to 4K on Pro plans

    Click **Export Now**. Your clip will process and a download link will appear. Click **Download** to save it to your computer.

    Your exported clips are also saved in your dashboard under **My Exports** so you can re-download them anytime.
